Eleanor Harry

160 million children are in child labour globally, yet the topic isn’t given the same prevalence as other ESG issues. Eleanor is on a mission to solve this – one of the world’s biggest social issues – with technology. She founded HACE: Data Changing Child Labour in 2020, following more than a decade of working with non-governmental organisations in the field of child labour across various supply chains and geographies.

An expert in her field, Eleanor has contributed to international UN literature surrounding child labour and is part of the UN’s UK Global Compact Child Labour Working Group, as well as being a Guest Lecturer at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership. She has spoken at a number of events including the Google Lift Summit, CDO Exchange and BAT Sustainability Week and has also appeared on Sky News. Her passion and drive for change have been recognised through a number of awards, including being named one of Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in UK Tech 2023 and Woman of the Year at the FDM everywoman in Technology 2022 Awards.
