Creating Culture House in Minecraft
DATE: 20/6/23
TIME: 16:00-18:00
Sunderland City Council is working with partners TA Education and Microsoft on a project to inspire children and young people, and give a taste of what’s to come when Culture House Sunderland opens its doors in 2025.
Attracting Sunderland’s youth is key to the success of this landmark building. With its boundless potential and the empowering philosophy of “If you can dream it, you can build it,” Minecraft stands as the ideal platform to inspire and engage young minds.
The project will see Culture House Sunderland, the National Centre for Creative Smart Cities, built in Minecraft. Join us on June 20th at the Mayor’s Parlour (6th Floor, Sunderland City Hall) for the launch of the competition with local schools, allowing young people to help design one of Culture House teen spaces.
