The Catalyst

The National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD) and partners are bringing together regional leaders in technology and the voluntary and community sector for an engaging event with short talks, panel discussions and audience questions. The event will explore how new technologies and innovative uses of data can help address issues around the social inclusion challenges the North East faces. Guests will provide examples of good practice already taking place, and have open discussions around evolving public policy, and our ambition to work locally and nationally to strengthen efforts to build a more inclusive North East. This event is delivered by NICD, in partnership with Tech for Good North East and Under the Hood.

Newcastle Helix presents…Building Blocks is an exciting and educational day for invited local school children to step into the world of STEM. With the help of LEGO, motorised cars and LED light displays we’ll introduce Year 5 pupils to real-world coding, AI and data in a working environment. Our mission is to inspire younger generations about a future for them in the booming North East tech sector.
